Sorry for not updating in so long.

I made a lot of changes to the blog today, and I am still working on it. I need to add my profile and put back some of the stuff that got erased when I put up the new design.

I haven't written in so long that I don't have a main event for the title so I just put today's date.

Well, where should I start? The MRI's came back fine, and I go back to Dr. Greene in September.

I went on two vacations since my last post. In July I went to a place called Rocky Gap with all of my mom's family. We left on a Saturday and came back on a Wednesday. On Saturday I got back from a weeklong trip to the beach at Lake Michigan. We tried to go fishing twice but the only person who caught something was Caty, and she caught a litte Gobi(Goby?).

In June I got Alex and Nat Wolff from the Naked Brothers Band's autographs! Nat shook my hand, said nice meeting you, and said I like your shirt! Also a few weeks ago I heard Barrack Obama give a speech and I shook his hand and got his autograph! On the front page of the news paper you could see my head and cell phone!

In July I went to Junior Medical Camp for a week. We took a field trip to Ben Venue Labratories and I was chosen to dress up in a sterile uniform that sorta looked like a Klu Klux Klan outfit. On the first day we did a blood test and had to prick ourselves with a thing were you press down on a button and the thing is spring loaded so it flips around and pricks you well it is being pushed up by a spring. It hurt and it was hard for me to poke myself. Today I am going to animal camp at Fieldstone Farms. It is from 9:15 to 11:15. It is a horseback riding camp. It is this whole week and then it is back to school on Tuesday! Summer went by sooo fast!

On Thursday I have school open house, and I will get my schedule then, because it is online right now and it is really messed up and confuzing.

I will update after camp.

P.S. Caty calls Obama, Labamba and it gets very annoying!

MRI

Sorry for not updating in so long!!!

I am going to make 3 posts now, one after the other, because I can't cram all 3 (actually 4) big events in one post.

On Thursday was my MRI. Erin was coming to it with me, and I was hoping she would be able to come in the MRI room, but she couldn't, only my mom could, but I didn't want my mom with me. When the nurse put in the IV, I was very calm and it did not hurt. For those of you that know me, you know that needles don't scare me one bit!! :) When she stuck the needle in, I bled a lot, probably enough to fill half of one of those milk cartons you get at school!

The MRI was not as bad as it seemed. 2/3 of the way through, she put the dye in the IV, and it made my whole arm freeze. I had to lay super still, and my head had to be strapped in. The only bad part was that is was super duper boring!!

So after the MRI, Erin came with us to the parade. She also slept over, and I have no clue when we fell asleep. We watched Titanic that night, and watched more of it in the morning.

I guess I'll just talk about 4th of July in this post, cause there's not much to say. I was sick half the day, but it was still the best 4th of July ive had, cause I never go to see fireworks cause I can't stand the noise, but I found some clay and stuck it in my ears. It worked like a charm!! :)

I am getting sorta bored of typing, so I'll do my other posts tomorrow. Hey, atleast I got one done!!

Amish Country and Orthodontist

The last 24 hours have not gone well.

First was Dr. Papandreas, the orthodontist. I don't mind going and that's not the bad part, the bad part is getting my braces tightened, so my mouth hurts VERY badly. I also got my colors changed, with bright green, bright pink, and bright orange.I have to go to the orthodontist every 6-8 weeks, and Dr. P said in 2 or 3 more visits I might get my braces off!

Also, I was trying out my new roller skates yesterday, and I fell on my butt 3 times. HARD. I mean my feet flew up in the air, so ONLY my butt the ground, meaning all my weight was on my butt. So I hurt my tailbone.

On Wednesday I went to Amish Country. We toured two different types of Amish houses, and an Amish Parochial(sp) school. We also got a ride in a buggy and went shopping.

As for my German progress, I can recite the alphabet!

Neurologist

So today was my visit with Dr. Green, the Neurologist. She took my blood pressure and listened to my heart and told me it was beating at 129 per minute, but it is supposed to be 60-80. When she told me my heart was fast, I told her that in health class we measured our heartbeats and mine was somewhere in the 120s. So now I have to go to my pediatrician(sp) for that. She asked me a ton of questions, had me walk and jump and other movement things, and she also measured me and my mom's head and said mine is big, bigger than my mom's(but I already know that I have a huge head:) So she said the muscles in my neck are tight, so she thinks they are stress headaches. Since I told her that I get them on one part of my head, I am going to need an MRI, which can take hours to do. You have to stay completly still. Also, Dr. Green said I am going to have to get an I.V. with contrast dye. I was looking up some facts about MRIs on the internet, and it says contrast dye is only used for MRIs of the heart, so I do not know if she is going to do an MRI of my heart too, for the fast heartbeat.

At 11 or so I am going to go to Amish Country with my friend so I will update after that is over.

Tomorow is my appointment with Dr. Papandreas(sp), the orthodontist, and Friday I have the ENT. I found out today that on Friday, at 2:00 I go to one doctor for hearing tests, and then another doctor in the same building for the results and stuff.

Again, I will update after Amish Country.

Kelley's Island and Put-in-Bay

I came back from vacation today! We left on Saturday. We stayed in a condo which had a full kitchen and a pool. On Sunday we went to Put-in-Bay. My favorite shop there was Del Sol, which had stuff that changes color in the sun. Also on Sunday, we stopped by my family's cottage and met even more relatives that I had never heard of. Speaking of family, this summer I'm gonna make a family tree. Sure, I already made one that goes back even far, but I am going to try to expand it.

Tomorow is my neurologist appointment, Thursday is my orthodontist appointment, and Friday is the ENT. I am wondering why my doctor sent me to and ear nose throat doctor for hearing loss, when an audiologist specializes in hearing loss. When the doctor referred me to the neurologist and ent, there was a paper with doctors names on it and there were audiologists on it. Who knows. Well I know already what is going to happen at the orthodontist; go in, get my colors and wires taken out, get in a new wire and new colors, and then the doctor comes in and talks to me and tells me how I am doing. And I pretty much know what is happening at the ENT, even though I have never been there. I mean I assume he would do hearing tests. But I have NO clue what is happening at the neurologists. Tomorow I am going to Amish Country with my friend, so I might not be able to update after the doctors, but I am not sure.

Ok, well these pictures are from only my mom's camera, mine will be in later. Tommorow I am leaving for Kelley's Island and won't be back till like Monday, so don't expect an update, unless I can squeeze one in at the library. I am teaching my self German right now and learning the German anthem(Deutschlandlied). I'll update on my progress. I know a bit of words now. my neurologist and ENT visits are next week. I don't really care that much about ENT, just I'm scared for the neurologist, so wish me luck! Got to go pack for Kelley's!
